1. Use unlined paper

2. Use pencil

3. Make drawings large enough so that all parts are clearly visible (No more than four drawings per page)

4. Draw on one side of the paper leaving margins along all sides

5. Do not shade in parts of the drawing, though light stippling or dotting may be acceptable

6. Draw only what is seen

7. Print labels clearly

• Use straight edge for lines
• Label lines must touch the structure
• End of the lines should not end with arrows
• Labels cannot be written on the line
• Labels should be to the right of the drawing

8. If a microscopic drawing, do not draw the circle from the eyepiece

9. Print title underneath drawing (If using microscope, include magnification level)
