Several students, along with at least one teacher or counselor, attended a four-day workshop at Bluefield State College, Fairmont State College, or the University of Charleston this summer to prepare for their senior year. They developed their senior portfolios, including the Common Application for college entrance, a resume, and a personal essay that can be used for college admissions and scholarship applications. Additionally, they met with college admission personnel and received a one-on-one analysis of their school academic records, career plans, and possible colleges that are matches for them. They will use this knowledge to help other seniors in the College Summit classes this semester.
