MRSA Virus

There are many things that we can do to prevent the spread of MRSA in our schools and our communities. Stressing the importance of good hygiene is vital in preventing the spread of MRSA in our schools and locker rooms.  MRSA may be resistant to some of our strongest drugs, but it cannot resist hand washing.  Kanawha County Schools stress the importance by having teachers instruct students to wash their hands often, having custodians check restrooms more often, and steam cleaning locker rooms and showers in the field houses.  Click here for more information on MRSA.
