Summer School
This summer, Capital High School will be fascilitating summer school. Summer school is for middle school and high school students. Tuition will be $400 for one credit and $200 for a half credit. A 50% waiver will be granted only if the student's name appears on the KCS free/reduced lunch master list; no other documentation will be accepted for a waiver. Tuition for the first term must be paid in full at the time of registration, June 23 and 24. Tuition for the second term must be paid in full on or before July 17, 2008. There is not a payment plan available. Without full payment for each of the respective terms, students will not be allowed to enroll and attend. Please be sure that each student's WVEIS Number is on the KCS approval form; GRADES CANNOT BE PROCESSED WITHOUT IT! The approval form must be completed in order to register. If the student has an IEP or 504 Plan, please check where indicated and attach a copy of it to the approval form. Please discard any old forms you may still have from previous years.
*First semester classes will only be taught the first three weeks and and second semester classes will only be taught the second three weeks. The attendance policy allows only 1 1/2 days absences per three weeks term and should be taken into consideration before plans are made for summer camps, vacations, and college orientations. Final exams will be given on the last day of each semester and may not be taken early. Please note that each semester ends on a wednesday, July 16 and August 6, 2008, respectively.
