According to the universities who
offer these high school dual credit classes – the student must qualify!
Students wishing to take the dual credit classes for college credit must have
a B average at least and have an ACT score of 18 in English and a score of 19-23
in Math (if taking a math related class). These requirements are per the college
catalogues. Most of the classes are for seniors only, however, a few will allow
juniors to participate. The students pay around $159.00 for a three-hour class,
which is hundreds less than taking the class on the university campus. This
is a wonderful opportunity for both students and parents. (The four hour classes
pay around $212.00).
