Capital High Media Center

       The Capital High Media Center is the focal point of the design of the school, central to both the physical facility and the curriculum. It is readily accessible and aesthetically pleasing with a warm and friendly atmosphere.

 

    The organizational structure of Capital High School marks a departure from the traditional organization of schools.  Capital High School has over 100 professional staff members (78% of the faculty hold advanced degrees).  In addition to the principal, three assistant principals and four counselors, there are four divisions: Humanities, Science and Technology, Life Management Sciences and the Performing Arts.  These divisions replace the traditional, departmentalized fields of study. 

       Computer stations, media production facilities, and listening/viewing areas. A full-time librarian provides assistance to students and staff. Extended hours allow maximum use of the center.
