The Local School Improvement Council, known as the L.S.I.C. , is responsible for involving the school community in the operation of the school and to initiate and support local initiatives to improve the performance of Capital High School. | |

| Anne Stowers | 2. Encourage business to provide release time for employees who are parents to meet with teachers concerning their child's education; | |
| Cynthia Phillips | 3. Encourage advice and suggestions from the business community; | |
| 4. Encourage school volunteer and mentorship programs; and | ||
| 5. Foster the use of school facilities and grounds for public community activities. | ||

| All parents/guardians welcome to attend. | The Local School Improvement Council membership includes: the principal, who serves as an ex-officio member; teachers, elected by the faculty senate; school service personnel, elected by the school service personnel; three parents or guardians elected by the parent teacher organization, two at-large members, appointed by the principal; and the student body president or other elected student. |
